
Our VeterinariansDr. Costello, a long-time resident of Kitchener-Waterloo, is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph. Since 1995, he has been a full-time associate veterinarian at Blue Cross Animal Hospital. In his early veterinary career, he covered some shifts at the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Kitchener-Waterloo. His professional interests include conventional medicine, emergency medicine, and nutritional management of disease.
In his spare time, Dr. Costello enjoys outdoor activities, including camping and fishing. |
Dr. Gerriets grew up in Nova Scotia. Before attending vet school she completed a BA in English Literature. She has also backpacked and worked in Europe, India and Thailand. She attended the Ontario Veterinary College where she obtained her veterinary degree, and she now lives with her husband and two dogs in St Jacobs. In her free time, Dr. Gerriets likes to ride horses, travel and read long novels.

Dr. Yuill, the owner of the clinic, has been working at Blue Cross Animal Hospital since 1989, and has owned it since 1990. Dr. Yuill obtained both her DVM and a Master of Science Degree from the University of Guelph. She is the past president of the College of Veterinarians of Ontario, the regulatory body for the veterinary profession in Ontario. She is currently semi-retired, and works a very limited part time schedule.
Dr. Yuill shares her personal time with her husband, two cats and a dog. Her hobbies include gardening and scuba diving. |
